How Our Garage Conversion Proccess Works
How It Works
A simple, stress-free process
A garage conversion should be straightforward, well planned, and properly managed. We follow a clear process so you know what to expect at every stage, from the first conversation through to completion.
Our approach is designed to minimise disruption, provide clarity on costs and timescales, and ensure the finished space meets current building standards.
Free Home Design Consultation
The process begins with a free, no obligation Home Design Consultation. We discuss how you would like to use the space, assess the existing garage, and answer any initial questions you may have. This stage helps determine whether the garage is suitable for conversion and highlights any considerations such as layout, access, or regulatory requirements.
Personalised Proposal and Quotation
Following your consultation, we prepare a personalised proposal, tailored to your garage and goals and aim to have this over to you within 24 hours. This includes a detailed Scope of Works and fixed quotation. This gives you a clear picture of what's included so you can make an informed decision.
Accept & Agree
If you’re happy to proceed with Convert Pro, simply accept our quotation and agree to our terms and conditions. Pay your booking fee to confirm Convert Pro as your chosen builder, allowing us to provisionally secure your place in our project diary. We’ll then send your Welcome Pack, outlining what happens next.
Building Warrant & Approvals
A building warrant is usually required for a garage conversion to ensure the work meets current building standards. We can assist with the full professional services process or you are welcome to use your own architect and team.
Conversion Build
Once everything is agreed and approved, the conversion is scheduled. We project manage the entire build with our trusted team and specialist partners. You'll receive regular updates every step of the way.
Completion & Handover
After the conversion is completed, the finished space is inspected and prepared for handover. The result is a fully usable living area that integrates with the rest of your home and is ready for everyday use. Any final checks are completed to ensure the work meets the agreed specification and building standards.
